Orange overcame an early deficit to send the game into overtime. Canfield was able to get the game winner in OT to win 4-3.
Canfield scored their first two goals in the first period, giving them a 2-0 lead at the first intermission. Canfield scored again in the second period, making the score 3-0 Canfield with 10:01 left in the second period. That is how the period would end. After not scoring in the first two periods, Orange started their comeback in the third. Senior Justin Beachler scored the first goal for Orange with 13:53 left in the third on assists from sophomore Jason Kornbluth and junior Tommy Hill. Hill was on goal scoring end of the second goal with assists from senior Matt McCusky and senior Kyle Haddon with 9:17 left in the period. The game tying goal was scored by Beachler (2) on assists from Haddon (2) and Kornbluth (2). The game was sent into overtime tied at 3 apiece. Both teams had good looks at ending the game, but it took a put back from Canfield with 2:13 left in the OT for Canfield to pull out the win. Sophomore Danny Moore had 31 saves in the loss.
