Canfield got off to a quick start in the first period of this battle between conference rivals. Canfield scored the first four goals of the game taking a 4-0 lead. Defenseman Tommy Hill scored Orange’s first goal with 5:31 left in the first period on assists from wings Piper Coker and Matt McCusky. The score after one period had Canfield leading 4-1. Orange came roaring back in the second periond scoring four unanswered goals. Orange’s second goal of the game was another goal scored by Tommy Hill (2). The goal came with 11:41 left in the second period on assists from Sam Stover and Ajay Deshpande. The next three goals were all scored by sophmore center Jason Kornbluth. The first was unassisted with 9:28 left in the second period. His second came only 27 seconds later on assists from McCusky and Justin Beachler. Kornbluth completed his hat trick with a goal on assists from Hill and senior Justin Beachler. Canfield scored with just 43 seconds left in the second period tying the score at 5-5 after two periods. Canfield was able to score two goals in the third period and Orange was unable to answer. Canfield came out on top with a final score of 7-5
