Orange continued it’s string of come from-from-behind wins in a 3-2 overtime victory over Chagrin Falls. Zach McCarren opened the scoring midway through the first, but Orange’s offense would be largely silent through the rest of regulation. Chagrin tied the game in the second and took a late 2-1 lead with six minutes left in the third.
Orange pulled goalie Danny Moore (29 saves) with :45 remaining for the extra attacker. With less than ten seconds left, Orange sent the puck to the front of the net into traffic. Jason Kornbluth emerged from the scrum with the puck and sent it past the Chagrin goalie with two seconds left in regulation to send the game to overtime.
After three minutes of scoreless overtime play, the Jackson Fellinger found a lose puck in front of the Chagrin net. His first shot was stopped but he chased his own rebound and found the back of the net for the game winner.
The Lions are 5-1 overall and face division rival Solon next Saturday at The Pond.
