An early first half goal from Gilmour put the Lions in a hole at the start. After surviving several close attempts, with key saves from junior goalkeeper, Adam Rosenthal, the Lions were able to make it to halftime only being down one goal. The mood seemed to change in the second half. Orange had the majority of the ball and were on the front foot for most of the half. It wasn’t until late in the game when Orange was rewarded for their efforts. Freshman midfielder, Jake Tartaglia, found himself in a 1v1 situation in the attacking third and was able to beat his defender and draw a foul inside the box, earning Orange a penalty kick. Tartaglia stepped up and buried the penalty to even the score at 1. That would do it for the Lions as they were unable to find a game winner. Orange moves to 2-3-3 on the season.
