The Orange Lions came out with a strong with first period against the Notre Dame Cathedral Latin Lions in the final pool play game of the day. Justin Beachler continued from earlier in the day with another unassisted goal to open the scoring with 11:21 left in the first periond. Sophmore Jason Kornbluth scored just 16 seconds later on assists from senior Defenseman Kyle Haddon and senior wing Matt McCusky making the score 2-0 Orange Lions. Under ten seonds later Junior Defenseman Tommy Hill scored on an assist from Justin Beachler. With 6:24 left in the first period Kornbluth and McCusky changed places, with McCusky scoring the goal and Kornbluth on the assist. Hill(2) scored his second goal with 2:19 left in the first with the assist coming from Freshman Piper Coker. The first period ended with Orange leading 5-0. In the second period Kornbluth(2) scored his second goal of the day with assists from seniors Haddon(2) and Beachler(2). Senior Abby Goldschmidt scored her first goal of the season on an unassisted goal with 10:46 left in the second period. Beachler(2) scored his second unassisted goal of the game and his fourth unassisted goal of the day. The score after the second period 8-0 Orange. There was no scoring in the third period making the final 8-0 Orange Lions. Orange made the consolation game to play for 3rd place in the tournament on Sunday morning. vs Avon.
