For the second time in three days the Lions squared off with the rival Beachwood Bison on a blustery Friday at Orange Courts. Coach Rich Bole deployed a totally different lineup than the one that visited Beachwood Wednesday, but the result was much the same. Orange won decisively at #1 singles, #2 singles, and #1 doubles clinching the victory. Orange earned a fourth point at #2 doubles where Junior Noah Lurie and Sophomore Daniel Suh overcame a tight second set to win 6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (4). The final match off court was a 1-6, 2-6 loss at #3 singles by senior Noam Paz who could not match the consistency of Beachwood’s Ethan Luxembourg.
With the 4-1 win the Lions have run their record to 10-1 on the season and 6-0 in CVC. With a win Monday at West Geauga the Lions can clinch the CVC title.
