Several Lions Recognized with CVC & District Awards

Several Orange Lions received recognition for their performances in both conference and non-conference play this season. After posting a 4-0-1 record in conference play, the Lions were crowned CVC Champions. The Lions concluded their season with 1-0 loss to state ranked 4th CVCA in the District Semi-Final, bringing their overall record to 9-6-3 on the season.

Leading the pack was senior, goalkeeper and captain, Adam Rosenthal. Rosenthal was named the CVC Conference Most Valuable Player (MVP) and was named to the CVC All-Conference 1st Team. He was also named to the GCSSCA Cleveland All-District 1st Team. Rosenthal recorded 4 shutouts and 42 saves in conference play and recorded 7 shutouts and 163 saves on the season.

Sophomore, midfielder, Jake Tartaglia, was named to the CVC All-Conference 1st Team. He was also named to the GCSSCA Cleveland All-District 1st Team. Tartaglia controlled the middle of the field while also contributing 2 goals in conference play and recorded 7 goals and 1 assist (15 points) on the season.

Junior, winger, Cade Horvat, was named to the CVC All-Conference 1st Team. He was also named to the GCSSCA Cleveland All-District 2nd Team. Horvat led the attack with 4 goals and 2 assists in conference play and recorded 10 goals and 3 assists (23 points) on the season.

Junior, defender and captain, Pascal Morris-Barrie, was named to the CVC All-Conference 2nd Team. He was also named GCSSCA Cleveland All-District Honorable Mention. Morris-Barrie was a huge factor in the defensive performances for the Lions this season.

Sophomore, defender/midfielder, Matthew Krasnow, was named to the CVC All-Conference 2nd Team. He was also named GCSSCA Cleveland All-District Honorable Mention. Krasnow contributed to the back line and in the middle throughout the season and contributed 1 goal (2 points).

Senior, forward and captain, Omer Sarig, was named CVC All-Conference Honorable Mention. He was also named GCSSCA Cleveland All-District Honorable Mention. Sarig was vital in the attack and contributed 1 goal and 2 assists in conference play and recorded 4 goals and 4 assists (12 points) on the season.

Sophomore, defender/midfielder, Evan Friedman, was named CVC All-Conference Honorable Mention. Friedman was critical in both the attack and defense during the season and contributed 1 goal and 2 assists (4 point).

Additionally, Head Coach Chris Cvecko was named CVC Chagrin Division Coach of the Year.
